Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

Hey Book Nerds! ^.^ How are you all doing today? :) I'm good, I've been helping my dad repaint our hallway over the last few days - and it's really tiring work! I finished reading The Scorch Trials last night and I really enjoyed it! I was going to review it, as I reviewed the first book in the series, but I can't be bothered. It was a great book though and I gave it 4/5 stars. (I also accidentally spoiled the ending of The Death Cure by reading someone’s review! ;_;) Anyway, I only managed to think of 8 authors for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, but I hope you enjoy!

Top Ten Authors Who Deserve More Recognition
1. Hannah Parry
Hannah was kind enough to send me her book for review a few months back - and to be perfectly honest; I hadn't heard of her beforehand. However, when I read her novel Isabella Rockwell's War, I found that her writing was really fantastic! Hannah is the reason I've branched out into reading more Historical Fiction novels, and I REALLY thank her for that! You can check out my review of Isabella Rockwell's War here.
2. Cara Bertrand
I've only had the privilege to read one of Cara Bertrand's novels, but I love her already! Cara is a total sweetheart and an amazing writer. I read Lost In Thought earlier this year and it was such a fantastic book. She creates such wonderful characters and I can't believe she's not as well known! You can check out my review of Lost In Thought here.
3. Rachel Caine
I know that a lot of people know about Rachel, especially because of her Morganville Vampire series. However, I've noticed that just because people know of her - doesn't mean they're reading her books! Rachel's writing is fantastic, and her Morganville Vampire series amazing and should definitely be read by more people.
4. Nikki Jefford
Nikki Jefford has become more popular recently, but not as much as I think she deserves! I read one of her novels, Transfusion, for a blog tour earlier this year and it was really fantastic! Transfusion is a vampire-based novel, with such an original plot. She's also written a series about fairies, which I have yet to read, but I've heard nothing but good things about! You can read my review of Transfusion here.
5. Lara Chapman
I've also only read one of Lara Chapman's novels, but the one I did read, Flawless - I COULN'T put down! It was such a fantastic book and it seems like a crime that she's not better known. Lara's writing is beautiful and flawless and I can’t wait to read more from her in the future. Go check her out!
6. James Dawson
James Dawson, you're amazing! Everything about James' writing is really incredible and I can't recommend his book Hollow Pike strongly enough. The characters that James creates are brilliant and the air of mystery around everything throughout his book is amazing. Although I've only read the one book by him, I can't wait to read more him in the future!
7. Gabriella Poole
Gabriella has written a book series about supernatural creatures of sorts, they may be relatively short (about 230 pages), but they don't leave anything out! Gabriella's writing is very detailed and has an air of mystery about it that I just love. I think she definitely deserves more recognition and I really encourage you to pick up her books!
8. Jaimie Admans
I've spoken to Jaimie a few times, and not only is she a really lovely person - but she's an amazing writer, too! I participated in a blog tour for her novel, Afterlife Academy - and I'm SO glad I did. Jaimie's writing is fun and quirky and her characters are so relatable in so many different ways. I definitely recommend you check her out! You can check out my review of Afterlife Academy here.

  4. Hmm, I have heard of some of the authors there, but many new ones, I shall check their books out soon! Paula Weston and Fiona Wood are Australian authors which deserve great recognition, for their novels are fabulous.

    Thanks for sharing! <33
