Teaser Tuesday #33

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by MizB from Should Be Reading. Grab your current read, open to a random page and share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page - remember, no spoilers!

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing today? The weather here in the UK at the moment is lovely; we've finally got our summer! It probably won't last long, but it's great to take advantage of it whilst it's here. :) This is probably going to be my last, consistent Teaser Tuesday Post. I want to change up some of the content that I post on this blog, so I thought, starting next Tuesday, I'll be participating in 'Top Ten Tuesday' which is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. If, for some reason, I can't post one of those, I may (possibly) post a Teaser on that day. I'm not really sure yet. :) Lastly, I posted my Document Your Life | May 2013 video on my YouTube this morning, so don't forget to check that out. ^.^ I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll talk to you again soon! :D

Before I could hurl the cell into the bushes at the end of the property, Patch came to a stop. He looked over his shoulder, his eyes travelling up. His gaze fell on me, and I thought it would have been better if Boomer had shredded me alive.
“And here I thought they were called Peeping Toms.” I didn’t need to see him to know he wore a smile.
“Stop laughing,” I said, my cheeks hot with humiliation. “Get me down.”

I read Hush, Hush, the first book in this saga, sometime last year and I really enjoyed it. So I really excited to finally start Crescendo, unfortunately, the beginning was a little slow. I was about to give up, when it all suddenly became really interesting and I'm really loving it so far! :D I love Patch, he's so amazing and mysterious and brooding. :P I love me some Patch. :3 I can't wait to finish this book, and I got the third book in the series for my Birthday, hopefully it won't be long before I can get to that, too! Have you read Crescendo? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing today? :) It's such a miserable day today, it's been constantly raining since I woke up and it’s just not stopped. I don't think the sun even bothered coming out today. xD Anyway, I finished reading Pretty Girl Thirteen by Liz Coley yesterday - and oh my god - it was such an AMAZING book! My review will be posted soon, and hopefully my 100 followers giveaway as well! My extra copy of Pretty Girl Thirteen is up for grabs. ^.^ I keep saying I'll be posting the giveaway soon, but I've been really busy and haven't managed to do it - but I will soon, I promise! :D I hope you've all had a great weekend. :)

This was the third birth this week, and the third death; it was more important to record the death, and to learn from it - to prevent, if not the next one, or the hundredth, or the thousandth. To find a way, somehow, to help a human child survive.

by Dan Wells.

I'm only about 27 pages into this book at the moment, and it hasn't blown me away yet. However, I've heard so many great things about it that I'm really excited to continue to read it and see if I believe it's worth all the hype. :P As for the cover, I think it's totally awesome! I love the photo shots of just the back of someone on covers - they can let your imagination wander about how the main character looks like. :) Have you read Partials? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing today? :) It's been a few weeks since I've posted a Teaser Tuesday post, so you should all feel honoured.. (I'm kidding!) I hope you all have had a great weekend, mine was pretty good. :) I've decided I'll be posting my review of Dead to You by Lisa McMann on Thursday, so keep an eye out for that. Lastly, I'm pretty sure I've got around 100 followers on my blog now! :D So, sometime this week (hopefully), I'll be hosting a giveaway. What will you win? - A UK paperback copy of Pretty Girl Thirteen (Pretty Girl-13 in the US). I received two copies from the publisher a few weeks back and I'm going to give one of you lucky people my spare copy. ^.^ So, keep an eye out for that, too. :) Have a great day! :D

The dark look he shot her was made even more murderous by the blood streaming down his face.
‘Has anyone ever mentioned you have an exaggeration problem?’ he said.
‘No,’ Allie replied. ‘Anybody ever mention you’ve got a dickhead problem?’

I received this book for Christmas from my parents, and I can't believe I'm only now getting round to reading it. ^^; Bad Tiff! It's being released soon in the US, and everyone is buzzing about it - even though it's been out in the UK for ages. xD I'm pretty sure that the sequel has already been released in the UK. America - you're behind! >:3 Any who, I'm really enjoying this book so far, but I say to say; I'm really not that keen on Allie - the main character. I think she's really immature and annoying - but oh well - you can't love everyone. :P As for the cover - I think it's really gorgeous - I love it! :D I do really love the US cover as well, it's creepier - and I can't decide which I prefer. :P Have you read Night School? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D I hope you're all doing well. :) I've just got back from town, where I searched the Charity Shops shelves for books I might want to buy. Unfortunately, there weren't any - which is sad for me, but good for my purse and book collection. xD I haven't got anything interesting to say today, so I'm just going to go get some lunch and sit down and watch Lost. :) I hope you’re all having a great day! ^.^

"The problem was that I saw dead people. Or more specifically, I saw visions of how they died. Most lasted only a few seconds, a handful were gruesome, and I swore some of them were visions of how people were going to die."

- Loc 153, 4%. "Lost In Thought (Sententia, #1)"
by Cara Bertrand.

The author was kind enough to send me a kindle copy of this book as a gift for review a few weeks/months back and I can't believe I'm only now getting round to reading it. (BAD TIFFA!) I'm not that far into this book at all, because I started it late last night - but I'm really sure I'm going to love it. :) Also, the cover is GORGEOUS! How can you not love it? The colours and just stunning and it's just so pretty. :3 Have you read Lost In Thought? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing? I hope you've all had a great weekend and you're all ready to face the week. :) I've been going crazy with buying books recently (despite the fact I'm trying to limit myself), so I'll be having some great book hauls up for you for the next few weeks. ^.^ That's it for today, have a great one. :)

I am literally only two pages into this book so far, so I don't have an opinion on it at all. :P I have heard a lot fo good things about this book before and I'm really looking forward to seeing what I think of it. ^.^ As for the cover, I think it's really cool! It's one of those rare occasions where I actually prefer the UK cover to the American one. :P Have you read Inside Out? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing? Did you have a good weekend? :) It was my 20th Birthday yesterday, and I had a great day - and I received about 10 books. :P That's a surprise, isn't it? ^.^ So there will definitely be a Stacking The Shelves: Birthday Edition, this weekend! :) That's all I've got to say today, apart from, I posted my first Document Your Life video on my YouTube video the other day for the month of March 2013. Hopefully they'll be a monthly occurrence, I think they're so fun to watch, so if you're interested: go check that out! Have a great day. ^.^

"He bent down, savouring the work ahead, and he unzipped the bag at this feet. The unmistakable metallic scent of blood lingered with the wispy trace of barely decaying flesh. He inhaled it all deeply. In a moment it would be over, and he would never smell this particular girl again."

This book is so bloody fantastic! :D I only have about 100 or so pages left, and I really don't want it to end. D: Luckily for me there are other books in the series, so I'm most definitely going to buy the sequel as soon as I can. ^.^ The storyline is so incredible and unique, I’ve been finding it hard to put it down. :3 As for the cover, I really love it! It's so simple, yet bold and totally awesome. :) Have you read The Body Finder? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :D How are you all doing today? ^.^ Books and things are starting to arrive in the post for my birthday next week, it's so exciting. ^.^ I finished reading Eve by Anna Carey yesterday, and it was such a FANTASTIC book! I'm posting my review on Thursday, so don't forget to check that out. :) I also popped into town today, and I found two books I've been wanting for ages in one of my local Charity Shops. I was so pleased! :D That's all for today, I'll talk to you guys again tomorrow. ^.^

"The last day I would have chosen - the last day I deserved - would have involved more chocolate. Significantly more. Dark. Milk. White. Bittersweet. Olive infused. Caramel filled. Truffle. Ganache. There would have been cheese, too, the soft, runny kind that stinks up a room as it dribbles down your throat. I would have lay in bed all day, eating the food I can no longer eat, listening to the music I no longer care to hear, feeling.

I know there are more than two teasers this week, but I felt like all of this section of text should be shown. ^.^ I started reading this book this morning, so I'm only a few pages in. Unfortunately, because of this, I haven't really got an opinion on whether I like it as of yet. :P The cover is really cool, though! I'm sure it’s going to be a great read and I can't wait to continue it. :) Have you read Skinned before? Let me know! ^.^

Hey Book Nerds! :3 How are you all doing today my lovelies? :) I'm doing well, and I had a great time at the Daffodil Fair that's held in our village every year. I went out to look around for 10 minutes; It was really busy and loud - but great fun! :D There's not a whole lot else to say, nothing overly interesting happened; I've just been relaxing most of today - for some reason I'm really tired! :D I hope you're all having a great start to the week. ^.^

I started reading this book yesterday evening and I'm really enjoying it so far! I'm not that far into it, only about 10-15%, but I'm sure it's going to be a good book. ^.^ I'm also part of the blog tour for this book, my stop is on Thursday 8th April, so make sure to keep an eye out for that, my review will be posted within it! :D As for the cover, I think it's quite good - it's very creepy and weird. :P Have any of you read The Harvesting before? Hey Book Nerds! :3 I finished reading When It Happens last night, and I thought it was quite a good book. ^.^ I went into town today and I found this gorgeous small teapot; it's pink with cherry blossoms on! :D I know it's not book related but I love it and I only paid £2 for it. :) If you guys haven't already guessed, I'm obsessed with all things japanese or just asian in general. I hope you're all having/had a good day, sorry this post is so late - I forgot to post it. ^^;

"Understanding adoption requires a basic understanding of sex, something I would not of had until third grade when Gina Papadakis bought her grandparents' disturbingly dog-eared copy of The Joy Of Sex to school. She passed it around at lunch and while most everyone else was gagging with the realization that their parents had done that to make them (so much hair, and the people in the drawings were not one bit joyful...), I felt perfectly fine, even a little smug. I might be adopted, but at least my parents hadn't degraded themselves like that for my sake."

I've only just started reading this book. So again, I can't give an honest opinion on what it's like yet. :P However it does look like it's going to be a great book! :D The cover is also quite cool, I do prefer it to the American and Hardback cover, it's more fun and looks like it will fit the storyline of the book. ^.^ Have you read Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac before?

Hey Book Nerds! :3 I seriously messed up my dates for the Blog Tour I'm hosting that I've been mentioning the last few days. I thought it was supposed to be scheduled for 11th March, but apparently it's 11th May! ;_; I'm so silly! I rushed reading the book and wrote my review at the weekend. ^^; Oh dear... Silly Tiffa! Any who, I'm still reading Light of the Moon, and unfortunately, I'm not really enjoying it at all - it's not my cup of tea. However, I also HAVE just started another psychical book. :)

I'm not that far into this book at all, only a few pages, so I don't actually have a real opinion at the moment. However, I'm really sure I'm going to like it. :) The cover is quite cool, too. It's cleverly done. ^.^ Have you read When It Happens? Let me know! :D

Hey Book Nerds! :3 How are you all doing today? I'm great, I have a hair cut lately (exciting, I know), but it's a lovely day outside. It's been really warm and sunny and I just love the weather. :) It's quite rare for the UK to get good weather, so I'm enjoying it whilst it lasts. ^.^ I popped into Frome later today, because I needed to get a Mother's Day card and I found a book in the charity shop. I just can't help myself from buying more books. ^^; Hope you're all having a great day so far! :D

The author of this book, David James, was kind enough to send me a .pdf eBook copy of this book in-exchange for a review a few weeks ago. :) I can't believe I've only just gotten round to reading it! I'm really enjoying this book so far. It started off quite slow and I didn't think it was going anywhere, then I read some more and BAM loads of things suddenly happened. :P Plus, the cover is really awesome and the colours are gorgeous. :3 Have you had the chance to read Light of the Moon yet? ^.^ If not, you should definitely go check it out!

Hey Book Nerds! :3 I hope you're all doing well and the start of your week is going well. ^.^ I managed to pop into town for an hour or so today and FINALLY managed to get my hands on a copy of Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black. I've been trying to pick it up from my local WHSmith for the past three weeks, but it wasn't in stock. However, today I managed to get my hands on a copy - with the added bonus of a 50% off voucher that a twitter follower told me about! :D That's it for today. :)

I loved it so much! :3 I honestly can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. I only started reading this book today, and I'm only a few pages in - so I'm afraid I haven't got a strong opinion of it yet. ^.^ However, it looks like a fantastic book. :3 As for the cover, I actually really like it!
