Friday Finds #19

Friday finds is a meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading which showcases the books you ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list. Whether you found them online, in a bookstore, or in the library - wherever! (they aren’t necessarily books you purchased).

Hey book nerds! :3 How are you all doing? I'm slowly but surely getting better myself, the antibiotics the doctor prescribed me are working well and hopefully in a day or two It’ll be all cleared up. ^.^ I still don’t have my voice back properly, so unfortunately there may not be a Stacking The Shelves post and video for this week! ^^; Sorry about that, guys. Any who, I posted my review of Slide by Jill Hathaway yesterday if any of you were interested in reading it, just scroll down - I LOVED IT! :D I also finished reading Anthem for Jackson Dawes last night, I thought it was pretty good - I'm currently in the process of writing a review for that one and I’m pretty sure I gave it 3/5 stars. :)

Friday Finds

When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle.
Rosaline knows that she and Rob are destined to be together. Rose has been waiting for years for Rob to kiss her--and when he finally does, it's perfect. But then Juliet moves back to town. Juliet, who used to be Rose's best friend. Juliet, who now inexplicably hates her. Juliet, who is gorgeous, vindictive, and a little bit crazy...and who has set her sights on Rob. He doesn't even stand a chance. Rose is devastated over losing Rob to Juliet. This is not how the story was supposed to go. And when rumors start swirling about Juliet's instability, her neediness, and her threats of suicide, Rose starts to fear not only for Rob's heart, but also for his life. Because Shakespeare may have gotten the story wrong, but we all still know how it ends....

Blink Once by Cylin Busby.
West is a high school senior who has everything going for him – until an accident leaves him paralysed. Strapped down in his hospital bed, moving in and out of consciousness, West is isolated and alone. Until he meets Olivia.
Olivia is the girl next door – though not the typical girl next door. She is in the hospital room next to his, and before long, she’s sneaking into his room to talk with him. Only Olivia seems to know what he’s thinking, and even dreaming about. Yet certain questions haunt him: Why is Olivia in the hospital? And how is she connected to the terrible dreams he’s been having? But the biggest shock of all comes when West must face the possibility that the girl he’s fallen in love with – and who’s done more to aid his recovery than anyone else – may not even be alive.

Level 2 (The Memory Chronicles, #1) by Lenore Appelhans.
'I pause to look around the hive - all the podlike chambers are lit up as the drones shoot up on memories ... I've wanted to get out of here before, but now the tight quarters start to choke me. There has to be more to death than this.'
Felicia Ward is dead. Trapped in a stark white afterlife limbo, she spends endless days replaying memories, of her family, friends, boyfriend ... and of the guy who broke her heart. The guy who has just broken into Level 2 to find her. Felicia learns that a rebellion is brewing, and it seems she is the key. Suspended between heaven and earth, she must make a choice. Between two worlds, two lives and two loves.

Lost In Thought (The Sententia, #1) by Cara Bertrand.
Lainey Young has a secret: she’s going crazy. Everyone else thinks she has severe migraines from stress and exhaustion. What she really has are visions of how people died—or are going to die. Not that she tells anyone that. At age sixteen, she prefers keeping her crazy to herself. When doctors insist she needs a new and stable environment to recover, Lainey’s game to spend two years at a private New England boarding school. She doesn’t really think it will cure her problem, and she’s half right. There is no cure, but as she discovers, she’s not actually crazy.

Almost everyone at Northbrook Academy has a secret too. Half the students and nearly all the staff are members of the Sententia, a hidden society of the psychically gifted. A vision of another student’s impending death confirms Lainey is one of them. She’d like to return the crappy gift of divining deaths with only a touch, but enjoys spending time with Carter Penrose—recent Academy graduate and resident school crush—while learning to control it. Lainey’s finally getting comfortable with her ability, and with Carter, when they uncover her true Sententia heritage. Now she has a real secret. Once it’s spilled, she’ll be forced to forget protecting secrets and start protecting herself.

Summaries from Good Reads. All these books look incredible. :D I've entered a competition to win a copy of Blink Once, but if I don't win it, I'm definitely picking myself up a copy from Amazon. :P Level 2 has been talked about so much lately – and I think it looks fantastic! I believe the author is actually a Book Tuber which is extra awesome. :P As for When You Were Mine - it looks so epic, I'm a big fan of Romeo and Juliet, and it's a retelling of it. ^.^ Lastly; as for Lost In Thought I'm probably going to purchase a kindle copy of it because it's so much cheaper. :P I love mind-reading stories, they’re so interesting. :) Have you read any of my finds this week?

What are your Friday Finds for this week? Leave me a comment or a link to your blog post and I'll be sure to check it out! ^.^ Happy reading! (:
