Friday Finds #27

Friday finds is a meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading which showcases the books you've recently ‘found’ and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list.

Hey Book Nerds! :D I hope you're all doing well. Can you believe it's nearly the weekend again already?! o_O This week has gone really fast for me for some weird reason. :P I'm not complaining, but it is strange. :) My friend Sarah came over again yesterday for an hour or two to celebrate my birthday early. As I've said before, she goes back to University the day before my actual birthday, so we celebrated yesterday! :D We had coffee and cake at my village's café and took a lot of pictures. ^.^ It was a lot of fun! There's not a whole lot else to say, apart from; I started reading The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting last night! I'm not that far into it yet, but it's fantastic so far, and I'm sure I'm going to love it! I love a good Murder Mystery. :3 I hope you all have a great day. ^.^

Friday Finds

Shattered Souls (Souls, #1) by Mary Lindsey.
Lenzi hears voices and has visions - gravestones, floods, a boy with steel gray eyes. Her boyfriend, Zak, can't help, and everything keeps getting louder and more intense. Then Lenzi meets Alden, the boy from her dreams, who reveals that she's a reincarnated Speaker - someone who can talk to and help lost souls - and that he has been her Protector for centuries. Now Lenzi must choose between her life with Zak and the life she is destined to lead with Alden. But time is running out: a malevolent spirit is out to destroy Lenzi, and he will kill her if she doesn't make a decision soon.

Croak (Croak, #1) by Gina Damico.
Fed up with her wild behavior, sixteen-year-old Lex's parents ship her off to upstate New York to live with her Uncle Mort for the summer, hoping that a few months of dirty farm work will whip her back into shape. But Uncle Mort's true occupation is much dirtier than shoveling manure. He's a Grim Reaper. And he's going to teach Lex the family business.

She quickly assimilates into the peculiar world of Croak, a town populated by reapers who deliver souls from this life to the next. But Lex can't stop her desire for justice - or is it vengeance? - whenever she encounters a murder victim, craving to stop the attackers before they can strike again. Will she ditch Croak and go rogue with her reaper skills?

Between by Jessica Warman.
Elizabeth Valchar-pretty, popular, and perfect-wakes up the morning after her eighteenth birthday party on her family's yacht, where she'd been celebrating with her six closest friends. A persistent thumping noise has roused her. When she goes to investigate, what she finds will change everything she thought she knew about her life, her friends, and everything in between. As Liz begins to unravel the circumstances surrounding her birthday night, she will find that no one around her, least of all Liz herself, was perfect-or innocent. Critically acclaimed author Jessica Warman brings readers along on a roller-coaster ride of a mystery, one that is also a heartbreaking character study, a touching romance, and ultimately a hopeful tale of redemption, love, and letting go.

I Know It's Over by C.K. Kelly Martin.
Pure. Unplanned. Perfect. Those were Nick’s summer plans before Sasha stepped into the picture. With the collateral damage from his parents’ divorce still settling and Dani (his girl of the moment) up for nearly anything, complications are the last thing he needs. All that changes, though, when Nick runs into Sasha at the beach in July. Suddenly he’s neck-deep in a relationship and surprised to find he doesn’t mind in the least. But Nick’s world shifts again when Sasha breaks up with him. Then weeks later, while Nick’s still reeling from the breakup, she turns up at his doorstep and tells him she’s pregnant, and Nick finds himself struggling once more to understand the girl he can’t stop caring for, the girl who insists that it’s still over.

Summaries from Good Reads. All of these books look so fantastic! :D The cover for Shattered Souls is my favourite cover, it's so gorgeous - I love the colours. :3 The ones I'm most looking forward to getting my hands on though, are; I Know It's Over and Between - they look extra-incredible! I've also heard a LOT of good things about Croak, it's supposed to be such a great book. ^.^ Have you read any of my finds this week? Let me know! :)
